Let's be clear, this is a blog about upcycling. We love upcycling. We love to encourage others to upcycle. But you know those projects that just don't go the way you planned and you think to yourself, why didn't I just buy a new one? We have all had those days! And while we don't want to encourage you to just buy new, we do want you to know that you are not alone. During last week's Upcycled Linky Party we were treated to a post by Selkie Mum that let us all know that we were not alone in our sometimes failed adventures. Although I wouldn't exactly call hers a failed adventure, just look at the fabulous Play Kitchen she made from a free piece of hand-me-down furniture:
And did you see this TP roll cuff bracelet made in the Upcycled Design Lab? A great majority of the bracelet is constructed of paper products but I love how it turn out looking like a metal cuff. Be sure to hop over to the lab not only to see how to make one of your own but also to be entertained with her wit and charm!
This week's shop feature is brought to us by Perfect Tin who upcycles all sorts of vintage tins into one of a kind jewelry pieces. I love the earrings made from a vintage child's noisemaker that were linked up to last week's party, check 'em out:
Now on to the Upcycled Linky Party #19. Here's the run down on the rules:
1. Feel free to link up no more than one upcycled tutorial that you created and one upcycled item from your shop each week.
2. Please don't link up the same items or blog posts as in previous weeks, let's keep it fresh.
3. Follow Love 2 Upcycle by email or Google connect.
4.
This is a party so socialize! Visit at least one shared link and leave
a meaningful comment or "favorite" it if it is an Etsy shop item. It
would be nice if you followed them as well, but it is not required.
5. Please keep it family friendly and upcycled! We reserve the right to remove any links that aren't appropriate.
Now, show us what ya got:
This week's Upcycled Linky Party is hosted by Tricia from Upcycled Stuff.
I agree, that kitchen is soooooooooo cute! I loved the jewelry also....such cool things to find and want to make....this party makes my to do list get longer and longer!!
ReplyDeleteBetween Pinterest and the Linky Party, I think we're all in a bit of trouble!
DeleteYou always throw the best parties, lol, Tricia!
ReplyDeleteYep, that's me...the hostess with the mostest. ;)
DeleteThank you for featuring my bracelet and for calling me witty. :-)
ReplyDelete(Which of course we all know is not the same as smart.)
Case in point, I seem to have too many online identities and the only one I can comment with is my Google identity which I think is linked to my blogger account that I don't really use. My blog is on typepad but I can't seem to figure out how to comment with typepad even though it is an option in all of the drop down menus for "Comment as." It is all quite confusing to me not to mention the whole multiple personality disorder that it is causing. At least one of me is feeling very technologically challenged. One of us is particularly grumpy and we all feel a little stupid. Does anyone know a 12 year old how can help me out with this?
:-)
Oh my word! Which personality am I speaking to now? ;) We'll have to keep searching for that 12 year old, because I have similar issues that I'm just too lazy to figure out.
