Upcycled Linky Party {37}

Hey, hey!! It's time for another Upcycled Linky Party.  There was some pretty awesome projects linked up last week so be sure to check it out if you missed it.  Here are few highlights....

I love the colors in this scrap wood key holder AND that it's made from wood flooring leftovers, clever.   Check out how she made it on the Reduce, Reuse, Renewed blog.
This tutorial for a felted wintry bag has me inspired to go dig up some wool sweaters from Goodwill.  Check out the full details at Gina's Craft Room.

This week's shop feature comes from Once Upon A Firefly.  Isn't this just the sweetest tassel made from a salt shaker

Now on to the Upcycled Linky Party #37.  Here's the run down on the rules:

1.  Feel free to link up no more than one upcycled tutorial that you created and one upcycled item from your shop each week.
2.  Please don't link up the same items or blog posts as in previous weeks, let's keep it fresh.
3.  Follow Love 2 Upcycle by email or Google connect.
4.  This is a party so socialize!  Visit at least one shared link and leave a meaningful comment or "favorite" it if it is an Etsy shop item.  It would be nice if you followed them as well, but it is not required.
5.  Please keep it family friendly and upcycled!  We reserve the right to remove any links that aren't appropriate.

Upcycled Linky Party {36}

Welcome to another fabulously upcycled Monday.  Just in case you missed all the fantastic ways to store your pens/pencils in last week's Upcycled Linky Party, I thought I'd throw in one more this week.  Buttons and Paint is at it again with this fun little Capri Sun Pencil Pouch.  Check out the full DIY and make one of your own:

You've all seen those T-shirt quilts, right?  Well, I love this little spin on the concept by Vicky Meyers.  She's taken her hubbies old striped work shirts and created a pretty nifty little design for her quilt.  Be sure to click through to see the full quilt photos:

This week's shop feature comes to us from Little Vintage Chest.  This is such a sweet little print on old book pages.

Upcycled Linky Party {30}

Well good Monday morning y'all!  I'm just back from a weekend long road trip from the South to Connecticut and back again.  I'm tired.  It's Monday. So a party is just the thing to perk me up, don't you think?

Last week's party was great fun and I found the DIY Loom Box from Green Issues by Agy to be a nifty little treasure that I just have to give a whirl.  I can't wait to whip up some T-shirt yarn coasters!

-

And while we're on the subject of T-shirts.  Holy cow, did you see this bit of artwork made from a worn out T-shirt?  What a great way to preserve some memories, check out the DIY on Buttons and Paint!

And this week's shop feature comes from Our Children's Earth and is definitely something that I wish I had with me on road trip up North this weekend.  Folks, it's cold up there!

Upcycled Linky Party {29}

I know, I know...it's November.  Suddenly, there's not enough time for anything.  But did you have a chance to swing by and check out some of the projects linked up the 28th edition of the Upcycled Linky Party?  If not, here's a couple of fun tidbits:

I'm absolutely ga-ga over this ever so eco-chic fused plastic handbag for a doll from Gina's Craft Corner:

http://ginascraftcorner.blogspot.com/2013/10/eco-bag-for-18-doll-using-fused-plastic.html

And while we're on the subject of fashion, Vicky Meyers showed us how she turned her daughter's oversized skirt into one that fit JUUUUUST right and turned the leftovers into a pretty fabric brooch.

http://vickymyerscreations.co.uk/sewing-2/upcycled-skirt-broach/

And this week's fashionable shop feature, is this fabulous barrette made from a spoon handle.  Yeah, I made it but nobody else linked up a shop item so I had to feature my own stuff.  Maybe this week, y'all will link up some fabulousness from your own shops!  {hint, hint, nudge, nudge}

Upcycled Linky Party {28}

Happy Halloween Week!  Yep, week!  I know some of you are just crazy....about the holiday, that is.  So I hope you'll celebrate to your hearts content all week long.  I'm more of a Fall gal.  I celebrate the season, so I just fell in love with the rustic look of this scrappy wall hanging that was linked up to last week's Upcycled Linky Party.  Check out Another Bright Idea for all the details:

And if you're looking for that perfect Fall bag, why not grab an old corduroy men's shirt and transform it into this adorable handbag from Creating My Way to Success:

As we round out National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I thought this T-shirt Dress from Our Children's Earth was an appropriate shop feature this week:

Upcycled Linky Party {27}

Hey did you check out last weeks Upcycled Linky Party?  There were some pretty nifty upcycled projects and items linked up.  Not the least of which was this cool little nature project.  Admittedly, I HAD to click through just to find out what a conker was.  The lovely ladies over at Buttons and Paint called this project a Conker Pot Stand, be sure to check it out:

And Cindy over at the Upcycled Design Lab showed us that there is just no reason to get rid of a piece of clothing because it doesn't fit quite right.  See how she took his jacket from drab to fab with with a needle and thread:

This weeks shop feature comes from Serendipitini  and is this fabulous sun catcher made from reclaimed iron work, glass bottle bottoms and an assortment of other upcycled goodies:

Upcycled Linky Party {26}

It was a few weeks ago when I greeted you with "Happy Fall, Y'all" for the official start to Autumn.  But it hasn't really felt like Autumn until this past week, the weather is cooler and the leaves in my neck of the woods have just started to fall.  So it felt pretty natural to highlight  a couple of the Autumn themed tutorials linked up from last weeks linky party.

I'm loving all the fall colors and pine cones on this fabulous Fall bunting from Another Bright Idea

The Wooden Bee brought us another fabulous (and easy) cork project for Halloween

And this weeks shop feature is this Upcycled Snack Wrapper Necklace from La Alicia, ya gotta do something with all those candy wrappers!

I {heart} all the fabulous upcycled goodness of this desk organizer by Another Bright Idea:

And be sure to swing by the Upcycled Design Lab and wish Cindy a Happy 50th Birthday.  Check out the rockin' dress that she made to wear to her party, it's made from old T-shirts:

And this week's shop highlight comes from Pink Flamingo Crafting and is perfect for those wee ones headed back to school.  Her upcycled card features an apple constructed from dictionary pages:

Here we are for the eighteenth week, giving you a reason celebrate Monday!  Did you have a chance to check out any of last week's links?  I {heart} this tassel from Moonbeams & Fireflies, it's made from an orphaned salt shaker:

And I'm kinda in love with this sewing drawer makeover from Junkin Jane, and it has no connection to my obsession with turning old drawers in pet beds either ;)

This week's featured shop item comes from a new linky participant, Orlo Subito.  She's got some super fun shopping bags made from salvaged T-shirt:

Upcycled Linky Party {17}

It's Monday and you know what that means...time to PARtay!  But let's revisit the good times we had last week first.  One of my favorite places to shop is the Habitat for Humanity ReStore and I always see piles upon piles of second hand switch plates.  Our Children's Earth shared a fabulous tutorial with the perfect way to upcycle all those seconds.  Check it out:

And now I'm totally going to feature my own project from last week because I just love it!  It's a lidless thrifted teapot turned bird house and I show you the SUPER simple way that I made mine.

And finally, this week's shop feature comes from LaAlicia who folded these adorable earrings from security envelopes.  Love 'em!

Pallets, pallets, pallets.  Did you see the pallet projects in last weeks Upcycled Linky Party?  I especially loved (and plan to do) the pallet turned doggie gate from Sweet Someday.

Too cute, right? And what about this nearly larger than life picture frame made from reclaimed pallet wood?  Sarah shows you how to make one of your own over on her blog, I Am Hardware.

And speaking of reclaimed wood...The Wooden Bee, kinda known for her reclaimed wood projects, brings us this week's shop highlight with her reclaimed wood mirror.

Did you notice what she's using for a backdrop?  I just love it!

Upcycled Linky Party {14}

I can't believe it's Monday already!  Where does the weekend go?  Luckily, the party rolls on.  Taking a look back at least weeks Upcycled Linky Party, I think I'm still drooling over all that upcycled garden wonderfulness over on Little Brags blog.  She shared quite a few garden ideas for reusing household and yard items in the garden.  Look at this one scene she shared:

The Wooden Bee shared another fabulous upcycled planter idea with us last week as well.  Swing by her blog for this step by step DIY project.  I have some old Pepsi crates that are falling apart at the seams.  I think I might reclaim that wood for this project!

All these flowers are sure to attract a few butterflies.  Through The Doggy Door, this week's shop feature, gives us a way to bring those butterflies inside with her repurposed painted plastic butterflies.

Now on to the Upcycled Linky Party #14.  Here's the run down on the rules:

1.  Feel free to link up no more than one upcycled tutorial that you created and one upcycled item from your shop each week.

Upcycled Linky Party {13}

Good Monday Morning!  So sorry this Linky Party is off to a late start but it's been a rough week.  My dad had a grand mal seizure late last week and at nearly 64 there's been no history of seizures. So as you can imagine, things have been a little topsy turvy these last few days.  But I am SO ready for a little normalcy and excited to share a few highlights from last week's Upcycled Linky Party starting with this one from the Scribbler Unfocused.

If you've never painted fabric (or even if you have) you have to see what Ellen did with an upholstered chair whose fabric left a lot to be desired.

And if you're still looking for a few garden ideas, you'll love how the Wooden Bee added a little graffiti to an old tire and turned it into a "flower pot."

I love old license plates and admire all the cool projects that others come up with, I've never taken the plunge myself. So this week's shop feature is this fabulous MANCAVE Wall Art from Sweet Someday:

Now on to the Upcycled Linky Party #13.  Here's the run down on the rules:

Upcycled Linky Party {10}

Welcome back to the party!  I hope your Memorial Day was filled with lots of fun times with family and friends.  But now, we have our own fun to get back to.  Let's not dive into this tenth Upcycled Linky Party before we have a look back at all of the fabulous entries from Party #9!

Buttons and Paint showed us how she revamped a couple of her lamps to give them a bit of an upgrade.  Who needs to buy new with a perfectly custom made shade as this one?  Be sure to swing by her blog to see how she redesigned lamp #2.

And who doesn't love a good T-shirt upcycle?  TrashN2Tees is back at it with these fun and functional T-shirt trays.  She makes 'em look easy enough that I might even give it a shot!

And this week's shop feature is this upcycled leather wallet from Through the Doggy Door (I'm totally in love with the shop name, by the way).  I just love to see high quality materials upcycled rather than tossed!

Now on to the Upcycled Linky Party #10.  Here's the run down on the rules:

#Follow Friday~ Blogs 2 Love!

This post is late today because it took me all day to go through the over 150 team member blogs on our 'Blogs 2 Love' list! That meant clicking to each one and looking at the blog content for relevancy and then checking the shop links to see if the shop was still open. It was actually fun to see all the great stuff you've written, note the progress and then check out the shops that were active~ even reading some of the reasons some were in vacation mode was interesting!

But it did take all day!

Anyway, it was all Tricia's fault! You know her~ the new host of our Linky Parties on Monday! Just kidding about it being her fault, lol, but she did mention in her last party post that it would be great for members to leave invitations to join our Linky Parties on upcycling blog posts they like. It was then I started thinking about all the great content I've seen on the ones on our bloglist and also about the fact that I haven't updated it or our 'Blogs 2 Love' page in forever (and a day). So off I clicked!

I've pared down the list a bit~ sometimes it was a tough decision because I really hoped they might start writing and selling again, but I figured I'd also announce that all former 'bloglisters' are welcome back and we'd love to link up some new ones! So you have a few choices on how to do that.

1. Join the Linky Party on Mondays!

2. Get in touch with Tricia from Upcycled Stuff~ she might feature your upcycling DIY's and tutorials in a 'Love 2 DIY on the Weekend' edition or maybe in her Linky Party post.

3. Send me (Cat, your fearless leader from Collagical) your blog link and I will add it to the bloglist.

4. ALL OF THE ABOVE!

In the meantime, here are a few Blogs 2 Love for now, until I redo our Blogs 2 Love page, which I hope to start updating weekly and announcing as part of our new Follow Friday supplements to our Linky Parties. Just another way to get you psyched up for 'Love 2 DIY' weekend projects and the Monday Linky Parties!

Woohoo!

Please remember to be kind and take the time to follow these fantastic bloggers!
