I don't know about you, but I was thoroughly entertained by last week's linky party! It was so hard to pick projects to feature this time around. So if you missed the fun last week be sure to go back and see all the projects that were linked up. Difficult or not, I had to choose. I decided to go with the absolutely never seen before projects starting with these window people by the Eclectic Red Barn:
Be sure to hop over and see how the heads were made, very clever indeed!
And then there is this cottage chic window valance made from a piece of picket fence. Swing over to Grandparents Plus to see how to make your own!
And, finally, our featured project this week comes to us from PlaynWithScraps. Check out this Pillow Doll made from scraps of fabric and ribbons. I just love his little bow tie.
Now on to Linky Party #6. Here's the run down on the rules:
1. Feel free to link up no more than one upcycled tutorial that you created and one upcycled item from your shop each week.
2. Please don't link up the same items or blog posts as in previous weeks, let's keep it fresh.
3. Follow Love 2 Upcycle by email or Google connect.
4.
This is a party so socialize! Visit at least one shared link and leave
a meaningful comment or "favorite" it if it is an Etsy shop item. It
would be nice if you followed them as well, but it is not required.
5. Please keep it family friendly and upcycled! We reserve the right to remove any links that aren't appropriate.
Now, show us what ya got:

Sustainable Sundays: Sunday Funday
Aww, Sunday is here! My favorite day of the week. Our family loves to spend it outdoors. No matter what you like to do to enjoy Sunday, here's a few fun items from our Team Upcyclers shops to ensure your Sunday is a fantastic one!
Do not let Sunday be taken from you. If your soul has no Sunday, it becomes an orphan. Albert Schweitzer

Upcycled Linky Party {5}
Happy happy Earth Day! Last weeks Upcycled Linky Party had some great upcycled projects and shop items. With warmer weather here, it's time to break out the Tees and Tanks. Here are some highlights from last week that will help you stay in fashion while living a little greener.
I love this one from Upcycled Design Lab and think it's great for the T-shirt that has a stain that needs hiding:
And EtsyFEST showed us a quick way to transform a T-shirt into a cool tank top
This weeks shop highlight is this super "cutie" license plate sign from Sweet Someday:

Love 2 DIY on the Weekend: Earth Day Edition
Earth Day is just around corner, in fact it's Monday! Upcyclers craft their wares every day with the earth in mind but this weekend we'll show you ways you can join us with fun upcycled DIY projects for the whole family.
What better way to celebrate the earth this Earth Day than with a rock collection? Pop Tabilicious shows us how she turned a thimble display case into a rock display case for the kids. Check it out!
If gardening is your thing, how about upcycling some old dishes into a bird feeder or bath to beautify your garden and feed your feathered friends. Here is the one I made from a thrifted flower pot and a really cool lizard bowl:
If you're sprucing up the indoors, how about this awesome rug made from a hula hoop and T-shirts. I think it's pretty awesome!
However you choose to celebrate Earth Day, have some fun and save some trash from hitting the landfill.

Upcycled Linky Party {4}
Welcome back to our Upcycled Linky Party - weekly party #4. Before we dive in, let's take a look at a few highlights from last week.
The Wooden Bee showed us how to turn a few ordinary thumb tacks into extraordinary thumb tacks with a bit of wine cork. Be sure to swing by her blog to see how you can make a set of your own:
Whether you're the creative type who exhibits their work at art and craft fairs and need a fabulous way to send purchases home with your customers or you're looking for a unique way to present a birthday gift, look no further than this. I've taken a few items from the recycle bin; newspaper, cereal box and some T-shirt yarn to create this fun and colorful gift bag. Be sure to check out the tutorial.
And just in case you need a little more cork in your life (along with a few bottle caps), this week's shop feature comes to us from Our Children's Earth. These Friendly Snakes are the cutest, don't you think?

#Follow Friday~ Blogs 2 Love!
This post is late today because it took me all day to go through the over 150 team member blogs on our 'Blogs 2 Love' list! That meant clicking to each one and looking at the blog content for relevancy and then checking the shop links to see if the shop was still open. It was actually fun to see all the great stuff you've written, note the progress and then check out the shops that were active~ even reading some of the reasons some were in vacation mode was interesting!
But it did take all day!
Anyway, it was all Tricia's fault! You know her~ the new host of our Linky Parties on Monday! Just kidding about it being her fault, lol, but she did mention in her last party post that it would be great for members to leave invitations to join our Linky Parties on upcycling blog posts they like. It was then I started thinking about all the great content I've seen on the ones on our bloglist and also about the fact that I haven't updated it or our 'Blogs 2 Love' page in forever (and a day). So off I clicked!
I've pared down the list a bit~ sometimes it was a tough decision because I really hoped they might start writing and selling again, but I figured I'd also announce that all former 'bloglisters' are welcome back and we'd love to link up some new ones! So you have a few choices on how to do that.
1. Join the Linky Party on Mondays!
2. Get in touch with Tricia from Upcycled Stuff~ she might feature your upcycling DIY's and tutorials in a 'Love 2 DIY on the Weekend' edition or maybe in her Linky Party post.
3. Send me (Cat, your fearless leader from Collagical) your blog link and I will add it to the bloglist.
4. ALL OF THE ABOVE!
In the meantime, here are a few Blogs 2 Love for now, until I redo our Blogs 2 Love page, which I hope to start updating weekly and announcing as part of our new Follow Friday supplements to our Linky Parties. Just another way to get you psyched up for 'Love 2 DIY' weekend projects and the Monday Linky Parties!
Woohoo!
Please remember to be kind and take the time to follow these fantastic bloggers!
Brizel Handcraft's Personal Project: Planet Earth Stool Cover Using Mike's T-Shirt Yarn
Once There Was a Shirt... from Prairie Peasant
Found Beauty Studio's Before and After: Vintage Chest Restoration
Mostaza Seed's Cafe Curtains, Peanut Butter Pancakes & a Secret Garden
Giant Upcycled Bubble Blowers from the Upcycled Design Lab
So there you go~ Blogs 2 Love and to Follow! But hurry up, there's only a little time left this

Upcycled Linky Party {3}
And the projects just keep coming! Last week's linky party (our second) certainly didn't disappoint. If you didn't have a chance to swing by, be sure to get caught up on all the upcycled goodness here. Here are few highlights from last week's party.
This one made me cringe and smile all at the same time! You see, I've been scouring local thrift stores for this very dressing table for nearly a year. I have big dreams to restore it to its original beauty. So I cringed when I saw the very vanity I wanted all for myself turned into a child's art center. But then I smiled because it was such a clever use of a roadside find and so beautifully done. What do you think of the makeover that Jessica over at Mom 4 Real gave it:
I absolutely love shutters and Denise from Denise...On A Whim shows us one shutter two ways. Boy they're cute, aren't they?
And finally our shop highlight this week comes from Joyce at Carolina Purses. Let me be straight with you, I think this handbag is beautiful and well made. In fact, I'm sure you wouldn't think it made from an old leather jacket unless someone told you so. But, I will also admit that I may be a bit biased. You see Joyce lives less than hour from me and I do a bit of business in her hometown of Anderson, SC. So maybe we've even met?? Joyce, come see me at the Anderson Spring Craft Market (at the Farmers Market) on Saturdays in May. Love to meet you. Where was I? Oh yeah, her gorgeous purse made from a leather jacket:
Who's ready for Linky Party #3? Here's the run down on the rules:

Sustainable Sundays: earthbound
April makes me think of Earth Day, and even though I think every day should be Earth Day, this month I will be highlighting earthy finds from Team Upcyclers. Handmade items to help us celebrate a month that should remind us of the importance of our planet. Each year we should set goals to recycle, reuse and of course upcycle more. We can all find more ways to help and April is the perfect time to get started.
"I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security. Defense of our resources is just as important as defense abroad. Otherwise what is there to defend?" ~ Robert Redford
This week's selections were from new & old Upcyclers found actively promoting the team. See more by searching teamupcyclers on Etsy.
"I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority." ~ Elwyn Brooks White
Happy April!
